Meet the 2026-2027 Board

The PTO Board is made of volunteers from the Patterson community who have been nominated and voted into office.  Each year, every PTO Board position is vacated and a new Board election takes place in April.  The Board nomination forms are made available to all Patterson parents and teachers in March.  We encourage all parents who would like to get more involved at Patterson to consider running for a Board position!

Kristal Scott

Co-President

I’m Kristal Scott, and I’m excited to be returning for my third year on the PTO board and second year as Co-President. I’ve proudly volunteered at Patterson for the past six years and it’s a privilage to continue serving alongside such a dedicated and amazing PTO team. My husband and I have two energetic boys at Patterson- Carter in 6th grade and Nash in 3rd grade. By day, I’m a busy mom (and Physical Therapist); by night, I’m a dedicated soccer mom! I’m looking forward to another great year working together with our wonderful parents, teachers, and staff to help make Patterson the best it can be!

Tricia Koch

Co-President

I’m Tricia Koch, PTO Co-President. I’ve been happily married to my husband Brian for 26 years, and we are blessed with three children. Ainsley, our 22-year-old, is beginning her third year as an elementary teacher. She’s married to Garrett. Aspen is 19 and is a sophomore at Boise State University, and Andrew, our 12-year-old, is in 6th grade. I taught for 9 years in various grades, including 6th, 1st, and as a math specialist. Currently, I substitute at Patterson. I absolutely LOVE volunteering at the school, whether it’s making copies, participating in Art Masterpiece, or being part of the PTO.

Katie Orlowski

Co-Vice President

Hello, I’m Katie Orlowski! I’m so happy to be working with the PTO again this year. I have a son named Will going into 4th grade and a daughter named Olivia who is going into 2nd grade. Before having kids, I worked as a teacher in Alhambra District, Deer Valley Unified School District, and Queen Creek Unified. We love living in Adora Trails and eagerly anticipate a fantastic school year at Patterson!

Shanda Watts

Secretary

Hi! I’m Shanda Watts and I’m excited to be serving on the PTO board as Secretary. I’ve been a Patterson parent since 2013, and four of my five kids have been Patterson students. My kids are Austin (27), Katie (23), McKenna (19), Ethan (17), and Kimberly (6), who is our last Patterson kiddo. I previously served as Volunteer Coordinator and helped lead the Art Masterpiece program for several years.

Outside of PTO life, I run a branding and web design agency and geek out over video games whenever I get the chance. I love helping our community grow and am always happy to support our amazing Patterson staff, students, and families.

Gretchen Bleeker

PTO Support

Hello, I’m Gretchen Bleeker, grandmother to Cora, who will be entering 4th grade, and Charlotte (“Charlie”), who will be entering 2nd grade. I have two daughters, Ashley (married to Luke) and Kiley, who lives in Denver. I retired from JPMorgan Chase a couple years ago after a 35-year career in Information Systems and reporting.  I have lived in Adora Trails for nine years and enjoy volunteering at Patterson in a variety of ways, whether it’s making copies, participating in Art Masterpiece, or popping popcorn for the kids during PTO Bingo.

One of my greatest joys has been watching my granddaughters grow while getting to know the wonderful families they interact with at Patterson and throughout our community. I’m excited for another year of supporting the Patterson PTO and giving back to our school. I look forward to continuing to connect with our students, staff, and families, helping make Patterson a great place for everyone.

Rose Farmer

PTO Support

Hi! I’m Rose Farmer, and I’m excited to be serving on the PTO for my second year!

My husband, Curt, and I have called Adora Trails home since 2015. We have three children: Chris, a sophomore at Basha High School; Jacob, a seventh grader at Payne Junior High; and Juliana, a fifth grader here at Patterson.

As an educator, I love helping students learn and grow. I teach communication at Arizona State University’s Polytechnic campus and also substitute teach in the Chandler Unified School District. That passion for education is one of the reasons I enjoy volunteering at Patterson, whether it’s teaching Art Masterpiece, serving on the PTO, or lending a hand wherever I’m needed.

I’m grateful to be part of such an amazing school community and look forward to another great year supporting our students, staff, and families!

PTO Support

Hi, I’m Ryann Masser! I’m mom to Camden (7th grade at Payne) and Maddox (3rd grade at Patterson) — and wife to Zach, Patterson PTO’s unofficial grill master.

I’ve been part of the Patterson PTO family for 6 years and have loved being an involved part of my boys’ Elementary life. This year looks a little different for me, but my heart is just as invested — and I’m so happy to still be here cheering this community on as a PTO Support Member!

Patterson has become our family. The teachers, staff, admin, PTO are not only helping shape the lives of my boys, they’ve become lifelong friends and I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to give back through volunteering.

Jordanne Miller

PTO Support

I’m Jordanne Miller and this is my first year as a supporting member of the Patterson PTO. I married my High School sweetheart and together we have three children; Adalyn who is in 5th grade, Avery who is in 1st grade and Asher who is an incoming Kindergartener. We’re originally WY natives, but have called Arizona home for the last 12 years. This will be my first year that I won’t have any kids at home with me during the day, so I’m excited to give some of that time to Patterson. I look forward to the friendships and memories that will be made with Teachers, Staff, Students and Parents this year.

Maurica Pietrazak

PTO Support

I’m Maurica (Marissa) Pietrzak, and this is my first year being part of the PTO. I’ve enjoyed helping out where I can for the last couple years and I’m excited to help more. I have 2 children here at Patterson, Grant is 8 and in 3rd grade and when he’s not at school you can find him either at ninja warrior or parkour. Carly is 6 and in 1st grade and enjoys doing gymnastics or anything with her brother. When I’m not at the school helping out, I am at the school substitute teaching. Can’t wait to see and be a part of all the fun things this PTO has planned for Patterson this year!!

Ashley Purtle

PTO Support

Hi, I’m Ashley Purtle, mom to Ava and Hudson. Ava is heading into 6th grade and Hudson into 2nd, so our family has been part of the Patterson community for quite a while now. I’m really excited to get more involved with the PTO this year. Over the years, I’ve also loved being part of the Art Masterpiece program. It has been such a fun way to connect with students and share a little creativity in the classroom.

I truly enjoy getting to know other Patterson families and finding ways to support our students, teachers, and staff. I feel lucky to be part of such a welcoming school community and am looking forward to helping make this a great year for everyone.

We Fundraise

Patterson PTO operates on an annual budget built upon donations, sponsorships, and fundraising efforts.

We raise funds for Patterson to make up for any CUSD budget deficit and to support needs not covered by the CUSD budget.  We partner with Patterson teachers, staff, and community by asking what resources would most benefit our students and school. This helps ensure that every dollar raised directly supports what matters most in our Patterson community. 💛

Our top fundraiser is our Progress for Patterson campaign, a direction donation drive that allows for 100% of all tax-deductible donations to stay at Patterson!  Look for more information about P4P in January/February.

Our PTO is proud to have put 60% of our budget directly back into the classrooms in the school year!

Governing Documents

Patterson PTO is governed by a set of approved by-laws and our annual operating budget.  The current PTO by-laws were approved at a General Meeting on May 11, 2026 and the 2026-2027 operating budget will be voted on at the first General Meeting of the school year on August 10, 2026.
